“Bloodsport” is a martial arts action film directed by Newt Arnold, based on the allegedly true story of Frank Dux, an American martial artist who participated in the underground Kumite tournament.Frank Dux (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a highly skilled martial artist, goes AWOL from the U.S. military to compete in the Kumite, a secret, no-holds-barred fighting tournament held in Hong Kong. Along the way, he befriends fellow fighter Ray Jackson (Donald Gibb) and attracts the attention of journalist Janice Kent (Leah Ayres).
