Slumdog Millionaire (2008) is a British drama film directed by Danny Boyle, based on the novel Q & A by Vikas Swarup.

The film follows Jamal Malik (Dev Patel), an 18-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who unexpectedly reaches the final question on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Suspected of cheating, he tells the story of his life to prove how his experiences gave him the answers. Through flashbacks, we see his struggles, his bond with his brother Salim, and his love for Latika (Freida Pinto).

Filled with emotion, drama, and thrilling moments, the movie won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. It’s a powerful tale of destiny, love, and survival.
